In Rethymno, the complete conversion of a 220 sq.m. building into modern and functional office spaces was completed, now housing our company’s new branch. The space was designed and configured to fully accommodate the needs of the company’s architects, engineers, and partners, while also creating a welcoming reception environment for clients and visitors.
The renovation included a full demolition of the existing interior, reinforcement of the load-bearing structure and mezzanine, as well as the construction of a new minimal-style internal staircase. At the same time, new high-spec electrical and networking systems were installed, ensuring speed, reliability, and flexibility in the workspace.
The interior layout was organized into three independent offices, a meeting room, and a specially designed material-presentation showroom. The design approach was based on natural materials, minimal lines, and earthy tones. In selected areas, custom-ordered Italian wallpaper with exclusive printing for the project was applied, adding visual depth.
The central reception area was organized around an indoor zen garden, which includes an integrated fountain, bonsai, and subtle lighting. In the seating area, curved architectural forms and greenery inserts were created.
All wooden constructions were designed and fabricated exclusively for this project, fully integrating into the architectural concept. All surfaces were made from lacquered wood, while selected areas were finished with a seamless cementitious coating to maintain uniform texture and aesthetic continuity. At the reception, an impressive wall-mounted composition was created, featuring a large CNC-cut wooden installation combined with lacquered elements and metallic paint. This composition serves as a signature identity element of the space.
A distinctive feature is the large circular “Meraki” installation with perimeter lighting, symbolizing the company’s philosophy: creation with soul, attention to detail, and personal dedication.
The new building façade, with large glass openings, allows abundant natural light to enter, highlighting the clean design lines and enhancing the transparency and extroversion of the space.
