In Rethymno, a complete conversion and upgrade of an old auxiliary shop space, with a total area of 43 sq.m., was carried out. The space was redesigned and configured to function as a modern, autonomous, and highly elegant apartment. The intervention included extending the existing slab through a metal structure, ensuring the additional required space and the overall structural integrity, while all construction stages were executed with a focus on functionality and aesthetic excellence.
The works began with extensive removals and careful preparation of the space, followed by the installation of new energy-efficient frames and high-resistance flooring throughout the apartment. The interior layout was reorganized with the creation of new partition walls, offering rational space distribution and effective sound insulation. At the same time, the electrical and plumbing installations were fully renewed, complying with modern standards of operation and safety.
Special emphasis was placed on modern LED lighting fixtures with black elements and smoked crystal, which provide subtle luxury and a unified lighting atmosphere. The apartment was also equipped with a heating–cooling system for year-round comfort.
In the bedroom area, an impressive headboard was created using mirror surfaces combined with wooden cladding, offering a warm and contemporary aesthetic. The bathroom was finished with deep blue Italian onyx tiles and anti-slip wood-effect tiles, while the partitions and door were constructed from smoked triplex glass. The wardrobe was designed with a black smoked glass door and anodized metal frame, highlighting the space’s modern character.
The construction is completed with a fully equipped kitchen, featuring an integrated oven and ergonomic worktop, along with custom-made furniture and wall claddings that enhance the overall aesthetic. The result is a complete, functional, and high-design apartment that reflects contemporary architectural philosophy and consistent construction quality.
